Black Howler Beer Co. in Highfill had me decompressed and in no hurry at all.
🏡 The vibe: The combination of tall wood and stone, along with outdoor seating and trees, gives you the feeling of a weekend getaway at a modern cabin. It's located near Northwest Arkansas National Airport, and it's where I'll be if my flight ever gets canceled.
🍻 What to try: Get a flight (or two) of four 5-ounce pours and be sure the Eye of the Needle Irish Red and Crowley's Ridge Orange Cream Ale are on it.
- This spot does lighter beers best, and its beers are easy sippers.
💰 By the numbers: Black Howler is budget-friendly for a craft brewery. The flight was only $8, making it a low-risk way to try something new. The flight, two tall beers, and another five-ounce pour because I just had to try the other IPA still didn't hit $30 after tax and tip.
📍 Stop by: 3-10pm Wednesday and Thursday, 3-11pm Friday, 11am-11pm Saturday and noon to 8pm Sunday at 2353 Arkansas 12 in Gentry
