Grants to Arkansas' health and human services departments valued at more than $165 million are slated to be terminated by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette first reported.
Why it matters: Much of the money was for extra funding for immunizations, health disparities, epidemiology and laboratory capacity, a state Department of Health spokesperson told the Democrat-Gazette.
State of play: Fourteen Arkansas grants were listed on DOGE's "Wall of Receipts" on Sunday.
The site doesn't provide detailed information about each grant.
Eleven of the grants were to the state Department of Health, totaling $158 million.
Another three grants to the state Department of Human Services add another $7.6 million.
What we're watching: It's not yet clear if the grants have already been terminated or if there will be any layoffs related to the cuts.
