I never got over Common Grounds closing. For those who weren't around from 1997 to 2016, it was a magical coffeehouse and one of the best places on Dickson Street.
🐗 State of play: Now, the former owner of Common Grounds (and Hog Haus) owner Julie Sill has opened up The Feral Pig, a new coffee and breakfast place in Fayetteville — this time on College Avenue across from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northwest Regional Campus.
☕️ The vibe: Fans of the old stomping grounds will be glad to find a spot that feels Fayetteville. It's a café with a coffee bar, a menu with familiar favorites and live music from local musicians.
🥓 What to try: The Screaming Buddha ($18.91) is a hearty breakfast with a little bit of everything with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, ham, a biscuit with gravy and a sausage ball. And no matter what you order, make sure you at least get some sausage balls for the table.
