What we're sipping: The Five6 in downtown Rogers

Allow me to introduce you to one of my favorite places to grab a drink on any given weeknight in Rogers.

The vibe: The Five6 downtown is a long, skinny space where you'll want to find a spot at a hightop up against a brick wall and hear your fellow sippers talk.

🥃 What to try: The Frisco Kid ($9) with rye whiskey, cognac, maple syrup and black walnut bitters. Besides the name that's a nod to the city's history as a stop on the Frisco Railroad, it's also a fun take on an Old Fashioned.

Rye whiskey fans should also try the House of the Ryesing Sun ($12) with sweet vermouth, lemon juice, orange juice and simple syrup.

🍽 Zoom out: Get a bar snack while you're here. Mix and match egg rolls like The Bravacado with avocado or The Philly.

👀 I haven't tried the flavored shots like Tootsie Roll with espresso and triple sec or the Gummi Bear with cherry vodka and pineapple juice, but you crazy kids knock yourself out and let me know how it goes.

📍 Stop by: 2pm to midnight Monday through Thursday, 2pm-2am Friday and Saturday, 2-10pm Sunday at 124 S. First St. in Rogers
