Anyone not already in the holiday spirit just needs a little Miracle.
State of play: The Miracle on 2nd Street pop-up bar is back at Undercroft in Bentonville, and it's a must-do holiday experience.
The vibe: The place is completely transformed from floor to ceiling and everywhere in between with decor — Christmas trees, Santa, lights, lots of red and green — the works.
- The cocktail bar underneath The Preacher's Son feels cozy year-round, so add in a fireplace and blankets as soon as you walk in, and you might just sit for hours.
What to sip: The Santa Slide ($16) with whiskey liqueur, cream sherry and orange chocolate is exactly the creamy drink I want for wintertime. Also, this is the season for a classic mulled wine, which you can get served hot ($12).
- This Old Fashioned fan couldn't resist trying a gingerbread-infused version, which cleverly came with a snowball-like hunk of ice instead of a traditional ice cube. The gingerbread flavor isn't overpowering, but reminds us it's Christmastime.

What to eat: The jingle bells ($12) are fried potato croquettes with pimento cheese with a surprising spice kick. Those plus an order of the cheese snowball ($14) with nuts and coconut shavings are just the kind of cheesy bar bites you'll want when it's cold outside.
The intrigue: In keeping with the theme, the drinks come in festive barware like a Santa mug or a Christmas carol barrel. And you can take one home for $14-$18.
Stop by: 5-10pm Monday and Tuesday, 5-11pm Wednesday and Thursday and 5pm to midnight Friday and Saturday at 201 NW A St. in Bentonville. The pop-up is here through Dec. 31.
