Arkansas voters are casting ballots for the presidential election. Polls are open 7:30am–7:30pm Tuesday.
Why it matters: With Arkansas expected to support former President Trump again, the most interesting results will likely come from down-ballot races.
Zoom in: All four of Arkansas' U.S. House of Representative seats will be decided. The 3rd District, representing all of NWA, has been held by Steve Womack (R) of Rogers since 2011.
- Three of NWA's largest cities — Bentonville, Fayetteville and Rogers — have contested mayoral races.
Zoom out: Statewide, Issue 1 will decide if state lottery money can be used to support vocational-technical schools and technical institutes in addition to colleges and universities. Issue 2 will decide if future casino licenses will require a vote of the people. Votes for Issue 3 regarding medical marijuana will not be counted.
- Voters will decide among Republican Secretary of State John Thurston, Democrat John Pagan or Libertarian Michael Pakko for the state treasurer's office.
- Arkansas Supreme Court Justices Karen Baker and Rhonda Wood are running for chief justice, position 1.
