What we're sipping: Gotahold beers in Eureka Springs

Ah, Eureka Springs. Our offbeat little town in Carroll County that makes for a whimsical day trip — in part because of the concentration of local business gems.

😌 State of play: One of those gems, Gotahold Brewing, is serving up beers in what is a refreshingly relaxed setting. Sitting outside listening to music in mismatched chairs between a kids' play area, woods and a taco truck was one of most "stop and smell the roses" Saturday evenings I've had in a while.

I've tried Gotahold's beer before at least once at a restaurant closer to home, and have since had a visit to its origin on my to-do list.
Put it on your radar as a stop on your next low-key getaway.

🍻 What to try: Those like me who prefer a hoppy beer should try the Past the Breakers, a West Coast IPA ($7 for a 16-ounce). You'll also have lots of dark and sour beers on the menu.

📍 Stop by: 4-8pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 3-9pm Friday; noon to 9pm Saturday; and noon to 8pm Sunday at 409 W. Van Buren in Eureka Springs
