Suspect named in 1995 Morgan Nick abduction

What they did: A pickup truck that Lincks owned in 1995 was found in 2020 and evidence, including hair, was collected from it.

• In 2023, samples were sent to a lab in Texas that uses an advanced analysis to develop DNA profiles from hair with or without its roots.
• Ultimately, it determined some of the hair was that of Morgan Nick's mother, Colleen Nick, one of her siblings or one of her children, Pointer said.
• "The physical evidence collected from the truck that Lincks owned when Morgan was abducted strongly indicates that Morgan had been in this truck."

What they're saying: "The most important thing here is Morgan is still missing," Pointer said.

• "But we've reached a point where we can concentrate on one suspect to determine the circumstances surrounding Morgan's abduction."

What's next: The investigation is not over, Pointer said. The Alma Police Department will continue working on understanding Lincks' activities during 1995 and will conduct interviews and re-interview his known associates.
