Urban Cellar Winery opened in late 2023 in Fayetteville. I recently went for a taste — or four.
🍷 What to try: A wine flight makes it easy to try several wines with minimal commitment. Unlike some places where you're stuck with preset options, custom flights allow customers to pick any four wines for the same price ($22) as a red wine flight.
- I went with a custom flight with pinot noir, chardonnay, raspberry and the Super Tuscan.
- For those who love a dry, bold red wine, the Super Tuscan is your pick. This plus a chocolate truffle was a decadent way to start a Saturday evening. For those who like a little lighter and sweeter taste, the raspberry had an interesting, fruity flavor.
The vibe: The winery off the downtown square has an approachable feel. I went for a special occasion but can totally see coming here spontaneously with friends and enjoying wine, chocolate and a charcuterie board next time.
- Keep this one in mind when you want to treat yourself or someone else and maybe take a bottle home.
