😕 State of play: Hey, Kitchen!'s menu has some good ideas for what should, in theory, be good flavor combinations, but it misses the mark.

I ordered a flight of sliders, including two mini beef burgers (the Bacon Jams with gruyere and the Black Magic with gorgonzola, pickled jalapenos and hot sauce) and a chicken slider. They were underwhelming, especially at $19 for exactly six bites of food.

• The rosemary fries ($8) were so salty I had to shake and wipe them off — forget tasting the rosemary.

What to try: The Revival sliders with fried chicken, white cheddar, garlic mayo and hot honey are your safest bet. The hot honey and garlic was a nice flavor combo, and the chicken was cooked better than the beef.

👍 Yes, but: Scotch & Soda's cocktails are still stellar. I can recommend the Tea Thaime with bourbon, banana liqueur, amaro (herbal liquor), Thai tea syrup and cream.
