Halloween falls on Tuesday, so lots of festivities are happening this weekend into early next week. Here's how to have your best time in NWA.
For the little goblins:
🎨 Trick Art Treat — Drop in for trick-or-treating, live music and a photo booth in the forest.
- 10am-3pm Sunday at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art; admission is free.
🍬 Goblin Candy Crawl — Kids can pick up their trick-or-treat bags and maps from the Rogers Historical Museum booth in Railyard Park in downtown Rogers. Local businesses will hand out candy.
- Hours are 3:30-5:30pm Tuesday.
🎃 Springdale Halloween Fest — The family-friendly event includes candy giveaways, carnival games and a costume contest.
- 3-6pm Saturday in downtown Springdale including the Shiloh Square; free.
👻 HallowSTEAM — The Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville has ongoing Halloween-themed STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) activities. They're available during regular museum hours through Monday.
For the adult monsters:
🎬 "Rocky Horror Picture Show" party — Dress up as your favorite character from the 1975 cult classic to participate in the costume contest. And catch live music from Ultra Suede and a screening of the movie.
- 6pm Monday at Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville; get tickets for $20.
🎷 Symphony of Northwest Arkansas Haunted Harmonies — Enjoy a Halloween concert with music from movies like "Bride of Frankenstein" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Costumes are encouraged.
- 7:30pm Saturday at Walton Arts Center; get tickets for $36-$61.
🍻 Celebrations at bars and breweries — Try Rendezvous Junction Brewing in Rogers from 11am to midnight Saturday; Boston Mountain Brewing in Fayetteville at 6pm Friday; The Botanical at 8th & A in Bentonville, also at 6pm Friday; or Deathly Hallows Eve at Black Apple in Springdale at 7pm Monday.
