Up your cocktail game with $46 classes at The Hive in Bentonville

Alex, here. I’m a pro bartender now. Just kidding — but I’m less clueless about the craft after taking a cocktail-making class at The Hive.

The Hive generally offers these classes once a month and rotates the drinks that are taught. Check their social media for upcoming events.

What to expect: We made two cocktails, one shaken and one stirred. I’ll leave it to the pros to teach you all the ins and outs, but I’ll say we learned why you want to shake some and stir others and some basics about cocktail-making recipes.

• You do not have to be an expert and can freely ask questions.

The intrigue: This made for a fun, unique Friday night with friends but could also be a date night, or you could go solo to pick up a skill that will make you a classier host.

Cost: $46 including fees. The two cocktails and a plate of sample appetizers were included in the price.
