Jazz Fest is back today, launching two weeks chock-full of live music and local food, arts and crafts.
Why it matters: We love fun!
🥵 The latest: Expect the Fair Grounds to be real roasty-toasty.
It'll be very warm and very dry all weekend long, says National Weather Service meteorologist Phil Grigsby.
"It's early early in the year for a temperature this hot," he says. "It's well above average ... so we want to make sure people are careful out there. ... The heat could come up on you pretty quickly."
In other words, enjoy the shade when you can and sip from your water bottle often. The fest has free refill stations. See map.
🎶 The full lineup includes hundreds of acts. Here are the headliners this weekend:
Today: John Fogerty, Goose and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80.
Tomorrow: Kacey Musgraves, Cheap Trick and Gladys Knight.
Saturday: Lil Wayne & The Roots, Harry Connick Jr. and Babyface.
