How to watch the Bayou Classic

The intrigue: This year's edition marks its 51st anniversary, but the rivalry between these two Louisiana teams goes back even farther than that.

• The two teams first met on the football field in 1932. It was first held under the Bayou Classic title in 1974, according to the event website.

Bayou Classic events begin Thursday with a Thanksgiving Day parade through the CBD. The parade rolls at 3pm.

• Organizers hold a Black business showcase and there's an invite-only coaches' lunch on Friday.
• But the next big public event is Friday night with the Greek Show and the Battle of the Bands.
• There's also a fan festival on Saturday before the big game.
