Taylor Swift and her Swifties transformed New Orleans over the weekend into a bracelet-trading, karaoke-singing, girl-power-embracing wonderland.
Why it matters: The three-night Eras Tour stop during Halloween weekend was forecast to bring in 150,000 visitors, and city officials were using it as a test run for hosting Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.
The big picture: Swift surprised fans Saturday night when she brought Sabrina Carpenter on stage for an "Espresso" mashup duet.
- Celebs at the shows included Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, "Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts, Josh Hutcherson (Peeta from "Hunger Games") and Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson of "Grey's Anatomy"), according to various reports.
- The Dome had food named after song lyrics, and Swift added a Mardi Gras-inspired outfit and some New Orleans flair on stage.
Elsewhere in New Orleans, Swifties turned Bourbon Street into a sing-a-long and formed an insanely long line at Cafe Du Monde.
- And Zee's Pizzeria successfully traded a year of pizza for Swift tickets, according to Instagram.
By the numbers: Swift made Caesars Superdome history by selling out three consecutive nights at the venue.
- The Eras Tour also holds the record for the highest-grossing tour of all time, writes Axios' Troy Smith.
