The New Orleans Pelicans begin their season against the Chicago Bulls tonight in the Smoothie King Center, so it's time to see if any of last season's shine got any brighter.
Why it matters: The Pels ended their 2023-2024 season with a play-in loss, but there were still some possible signs of greatness even as they fell to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Catch up quick: Pelicans star power forward Zion "Williamson is back, perhaps better than ever, and he has a new point guard," according to CBS Sports' James Herbert.
- That point guard arrived in the form of Dejounte Murray, who came over from the Atlanta Hawks after averaging a career-high 22.5 points last season, the AP says.
Between the lines: The Pels still have a lot of winning to do to bring out the crowds in New Orleans.
