New Orleans police superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick poked fun at herself at the city's Pride parade by rocking a shirt about the rats that are eating marijuana in NOPD's evidence room.
Why it matters: We don't take ourselves too seriously in New Orleans.
Catch up quick: Kirkpatrick made national headlines with her comments to the City Council in March about a widespread rodent and roach infestation in NOPD's current Mid-City headquarters.
"The rats (are) eating our marijuana" in the evidence room, Kirkpatrick said. "They're all high."
Her claim inspired a sold-out Dirty Coast shirt riffing on Looney Tunes with a high rat and the words "They're all high."
The intrigue: The one Kirkpatrick wore at the parade appears to be a bootleg of Dirty Coast's version.
She paired it with white shorts and shows it off to officers and parade-goers in an Instagram video posted on NOPD's official account.
NOPD didn't respond to a request for comment about the provenance of her shirt.
What's next: NOPD is in the process of moving into its new headquarters in the DXC highrise at 1615 Poydras Street.
