LSU Gymnastics wins 1st national championship in program history

LSU Gymnastics won its first ever NCAA national championship Saturday, becoming only the eighth women's program in history to win the trophy.

Stunning stat: On the team's fourth rotation, five LSU gymnasts earned scores of at least 9.9 each.

LSU's final score was 198.225, besting contenders California, Utah and Florida.

  • The team was led by 2024 NCAA All-Around Champion Haleigh Bryant, whose 39.7125 score was another all-around leader.
