Where to eat for Hanukkah in New Orleans

Hanukkah begins at sundown Dec. 7, and with it comes a slew of opportunities to support local restaurants.

Here are a few that stand out to us:

🕎 Chef Alon Shaya brings back the L'Chaim Lounge at Saba, turning the restaurant's usual lounge space into a more festive version of itself. Plus, expect specials like a latke board and themed cocktails.

Shaya is also offering a virtual latke cooking class on Sunday to raise money for the Anti-Defamation League.
Shaya is also adding latkes to the menu at his Four Seasons outposts Miss River and the Chandelier Bar for the season.

🕎 The Grill Room at The Windsor Court will also offer a special Hanukkah dinner. The prix fixe menu is $80 per person.

🕎 Porgy's Seafood Market will offer latke kits with mix-and-match toppings like Cajun caviar, smoked fish dip, and sour cream. The kits come with a dreidel and traditional gelt.

🕎 Latkes with a Twist, the fundraiser for the Jewish Children's Regional Service, returns Sunday. Tickets are $75 at the door, but cheaper when purchased in advance.

🕎 Adam Mayer's Latke Daddy pop-up is also expected to return, so keep an eye on Instagram for details.
