10 things to do this weekend in New Orleans for Juneteenth and Father's Day

Juneteenth

🖼️ Juneteenth Freedom Gala is Sunday night at the Andre Cailloux Center. The ticketed event highlights community leaders and artists with live music, an art auction and a film screening.

🎤 New Orleans Juneteenth Festival is Monday from 2-7pm at Congo Square in Armstrong Park. It's free. The second line kickoff is at 1:30pm.

🎩 Juneteenth Liberation Ball is Monday night at the Andre Cailloux Center. The fundraiser will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and uplifting Black voices.

Father's Day

🏍️ Papa-Palooza is Saturday at New Orleans Harley-Davidson on Airline Drive. There will be crawfish, a bikini carwash and a dad bod contest.

🏃🏾‍♂️ The Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Race is Sunday morning in Audubon Park and has 2-mile and half-mile events.

🧛🏼 Le Vampyre Cabaret is Friday night at the Allways Lounge.

🇮🇹 Opera in the Piazza is downtown Friday night and hosted by the American Italian Cultural Center.

🦕 The Great Dino Rescue is in Slidell, Friday through Sunday. It's billed as the largest touring dinosaur show in the country.

🥊 Champion boxer Regis Prograis and Danielito Zorrilla will face off Saturday at the Smoothie King Center as Prograis defends his world super-lightweight title.

🎉 NOLA Gen Fezt is a new fest from NORD. It's described as a fest made by teens for teens. It's a free event Saturday on the Lafitte Greenway.
