10 things to do this weekend in New Orleans for Juneteenth and Father's Day

It's a three-day weekend for many as we observe Juneteenth on Monday. The federal holiday commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S.
- For Father's Day, celebrate with dad at these brunch and burger joints. Or take him to the dad bod contest.
Here are some more things to do this weekend.
Juneteenth
๐ผ๏ธ Juneteenth Freedom Gala is Sunday night at the Andre Cailloux Center. The ticketed event highlights community leaders and artists with live music, an art auction and a film screening.
๐ค New Orleans Juneteenth Festival is Monday from 2-7pm at Congo Square in Armstrong Park. It's free. The second line kickoff is at 1:30pm.
๐ฉ Juneteenth Liberation Ball is Monday night at the Andre Cailloux Center. The fundraiser will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and uplifting Black voices.
Father's Day
๐๏ธ Papa-Palooza is Saturday at New Orleans Harley-Davidson on Airline Drive. There will be crawfish, a bikini carwash and a dad bod contest.
๐๐พโโ๏ธ The Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Race is Sunday morning in Audubon Park and has 2-mile and half-mile events.

๐ง๐ผ Le Vampyre Cabaret is Friday night at the Allways Lounge.
๐ฎ๐น Opera in the Piazza is downtown Friday night and hosted by the American Italian Cultural Center.
๐ฆ The Great Dino Rescue is in Slidell, Friday through Sunday. It's billed as the largest touring dinosaur show in the country.
๐ฅ Champion boxer Regis Prograis and Danielito Zorrilla will face off Saturday at the Smoothie King Center as Prograis defends his world super-lightweight title.
๐ NOLA Gen Fezt is a new fest from NORD. It's described as a fest made by teens for teens. It's a free event Saturday on the Lafitte Greenway.
