Music City's biggest summer festivals might be behind us, but August boasts a pretty stellar concert calendar.
- We rounded up a few of our favorite upcoming shows.
🐐 Bob Dylan at Ascend Amphitheater Aug. 1: The Nobel Prize-winning icon, who was singing about the "Nashville Skyline" decades before the Batman Building, caps the U.S. leg of his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour here, with backup from another Nashville favorite, Lucinda Williams.
🎹 The Black Keys at The Pinnacle Aug. 6-7: The Nashville-based rockers get a two-night stand in one of Nashville's newest large concert rooms while touring behind their new covers album, which was recorded here.
- Fun fact: In an interview with the Nashville Scene, Patrick Carney teased a possible surprise after-party at a smaller club following the Aug. 7 set. Watch the duo's Instagram for more.
🎂 My Chemical Romance at Nissan Stadium Aug. 13: "The Black Parade" is turning 20 and the rock band is throwing a stadium-sized birthday party.
💿 Maren Morris at the Ryman Aug. 15: Morris is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her major-label debut "Hero" by performing the pivotal album from front to back in a one-night-only show, with some extra hits thrown in.
✨ Songwriters Under the Stars at Cheekwood Aug. 21-22: Another only-in-Nashville offering brings Music Row pro Chris DeStefano and the Warren Brothers together to perform chart-toppers they wrote for other artists and share behind-the-song stories.
🎙️ Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country at the Ryman Aug. 28-29: Donato, a Nashville-raised artist, busked on Lower Broadway and played 464 shows as a guitar player in a band at Robert's Western World before headlining one of the city's most legendary venues.
- These shows coincide with the release of his band's live album "Ryman to Robert's," which was recorded during the band's sold-out debut at the Ryman last year, as well as the subsequent after-show at Robert's.
