Nashville sets Sunday curbside debris deadline

The Nashville Department of Transportation asked residents to place vegetation from the January ice storm at the curb by the end of the day on Sunday.

Why it matters: NDOT crews continue to collect debris from the devastating storm.

State of play: Collections will continue in the weeks after April 19, but the department set the deadline for when all debris should be curbside.

• NDOT inspectors will then go to every street in the county for an assessment to decide when regular brush pickup will resume.

By the numbers: So far, NDOT has collected nearly 2 million cubic yards of winter storm vegetation debris.

• For context, the department collected 87,000 cubic yards of debris in all of 2025.
