Nashville Council votes to oppose Music City Loop project

What she's saying: Metro Councilmember Delishia Porterfield led the charge opposing the Boring Company's project.

Yes, but: Her resolution outlines a path for the Boring Company to create "public trust." It calls for regular briefings with the council, environmental and safety reports, and fair labor and contractor standards.

The other side: U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who is running for governor, bashed the council vote. She touted Music City Loop as improving infrastructure at "no cost to taxpayers."
