Ryman Hospitality added another large amphitheater to its ever-expanding stable of music venues this week.
State of play: The Simpsonville (South Carolina) City Council approved an 11-year agreement for Opry Entertainment, a division of Ryman Hospitality, to operate the 14,000-seat CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park.
It's the second large outdoor venue that Ryman added in the last year. The company also took over operations at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater.
Flashback: Ryman has been investing in its live music division. The company also owns the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry, as well as a slate of Ole Red honky-tonks.
