Nashville ice storm: 0.42 inches recorded

Nashville received nearly half-an-inch of ice during the weekend storm, according to the National Weather Service.

By the numbers: The grand total was 0.42 inches of ice, NWS said.

• The city also received about 2 inches of snow before the freezing rain early Sunday.

Between the lines: The National Weather Service's Nashville office cautioned its ice totals are an average for the city. Totals could be higher in some neighborhoods.
