The incomparable Dolly Parton turns 80 on Monday, but she remains one of Music Row's busiest workhorses.
The latest: Parton is dropping a new single today. It's a reimagined version of her classic "Light of a Clear Blue Morning" with backup from Miley Cyrus, Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson and Queen Latifah.
The intrigue: Proceeds from the song and its music video will go toward pediatric cancer research at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
What she's saying: "I wrote 'Light of a Clear Blue Morning' during a season when I was searching for hope, and 50 years later that message still feels just as true," Parton said in a statement.
"As I celebrate my 80th birthday, this new version is my way of using what I've been blessed with to shine a little light forward, especially by sharing it with some truly incredible women."
