Vince Gill is paying tribute to one of Nashville's favorite burger joints with a new song "Brown's Diner Bar," which comes out Friday.
Why it matters: Brown's Diner is an ultimate survivor in Nashville's culinary scene. It has been slinging patties for nearly 100 years.
Gill has been a devoted customer for about 50 of those years.
What he's saying: "When I made my first trip to Nashville in the mid-70s I remember going to Brown's for a cheeseburger; they're famous for being really good cheeseburgers," he said, per Music Row magazine.
"It's a funky little joint, close to Music Row, so tons of singers and songwriters and musicians turn up there. It's just a great vibe."
The big picture: Gill's ode to Brown's Diner is the title track of Gill's new EP.
