The leader of Nashville's Catholic diocese dedicated a church service yesterday to the children who were killed in a shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minn.
Two children, ages 8 and 10, died when a shooter opened fire during a morning Mass for the adjoining school. Many others were injured.
What he's saying: "May God accept the deceased into His loving arms," Nashville Bishop Mark Spalding said while praying for the victims, per a statement from the diocese.
"My prayers, and the prayers of the entire Diocese of Nashville, are with all those affected by this tragic event."
The Minnesota shooting mirrored the 2023 attack that killed six people at The Covenant School, a Christian school that is part of a church in Green Hills.
