Nashville landed a starring role in a new TV show set to premiere next fall on ABC.
State of play: "9-1-1: Nashville" is the latest in Ryan Murphy's television franchise about first responders in different parts of the country.
Zoom in: The show will star Chris O'Donnell as a fire captain who fights blazes alongside his firefighter son, according to Deadline. When he's not on the job, O'Donnell's character apparently moonlights as a rodeo rider. (Sounds plausible!)
Jessica Capshaw, who playedArizona Robbins for a decade on "Grey's Anatomy," was recently cast to play O'Donnell's wife.
Yes, but: "9-1-1: Nashville" seems unlikely to follow the lead of the drama series "Nashville," which filmed on location in Music City for six seasons, if previous "9-1-1" spin-offs are any indication.
While some exterior shots from "9-1-1: Lone Star" were filmed in Austin, the vast majority of the action was shot in Los Angeles.
