Nashville's housing market has cooled down a little recently, but it's still worlds removed from the way things were less than 15 years ago.
Get this: In 2011, the median down payment for a home in the Nashville area was $6,972, according to Redfin data.
Flash forward: Times have changed. The median down payment in December was more than $50,000. (That's more than seven times higher than 2011.)
Between the lines: The pandemic and a surge of out-of-state buyers supercharged the market.
Reality check: As we told you earlier this year, residents need to earn about $120,000 annually to afford the median house in Nashville.
