Seven Tennessee teams are vying for March Madness glory this year, but one program stands out above the rest in the history of the tournament.
The big picture: The Lady Vols are one of the most dominant forces in college basketball history. Bolstered by the indomitable coach Pat Summitt, they made it to the Final Four 18 times.

Fun fact: Only one other women's team from Tennessee has ever made it to the Final Four: Vanderbilt in 1993.

The other side: Our state's track record in the men's bracket is much less impressive. Men's teams from Tennessee have only advanced to the Final Four three times in the history of the tournament.
