Black Friday is just a breath away, and although deals at big-box stores and online retailers get most of the attention, there are plenty of opportunities to spend your day — and your money — the Nashville way this weekend.
🛍️ Shop local: Several retail hubs have cropped up that cater to homegrown makers. Stop by L&L Market or the Shoppes on Fatherland to get merch with a distinctive Music City flair.
- Thistle Farms is offering an array of holiday deals — the first 100 customers in the store on Black Friday will get a free tote bag.
- The crew at Parnassus Books assembled an exhaustive holiday catalogue with gift ideas for bookworms of all types.
- More than 40 locations will participate in the East Nashville Small Business Saturday Holiday Crawl.
🥕 Visit a nearby farm: The state of Tennessee is encouraging local shoppers to celebrate Small Business Saturday by supporting an area farm.

🍻 Beer: Black Friday has become a holiday for beer lovers. Several breweries are joining in on the national trend by unveiling special releases.

- Blackstone Brewing is dropping its limited-release Black Belle Imperial Stout.
- Crazy Gnome Brewery will debut a barrel-aged porter. (Bonus tip: If you're looking for an escape, they'll be open and slinging cranberry cider for limited hours on Thanksgiving.)
- If you don't want to wait, Jackalope Brewing Company's seasonal mocha stout is available in some local bars. It was brewed with Frothy Monkey coffee beans and Olive and Sinclair cocoa nibs.
