2024 election: Early voting guide for Nashville residents

If Tuesday night's presidential debate helped you decide how to cast your vote, you won't have to wait very long to do so.
- Early voting in Davidson County starts Oct. 16.
Why it matters: As our national colleagues have noted, the widespread embrace of early voting has changed the meaning of Election Day, which is Nov. 5.
- Millions of voters across the country will start casting ballots beforehand.
State of play: Nashville residents will have 14 days of in-person early voting during this cycle.
- In Nashville, early voters can cast their ballots at any of the 13 designated locations.
- The last day of early voting is Oct. 31.
Zoom in: The Davidson County Election Commission has added a new location for this election: the Lentz Public Health Center on Charlotte Avenue.
Don't forget: The deadline to register to vote in the election is Oct. 7.
