Top airlines at Nashville International Airport

Southwest Airlines, which announced last week it was adding new red-eye flights from Los Angeles to Nashville, is Music City's biggest airline by a wide margin.

By the numbers: More than 50,000 Southwest flights departed from Nashville International Airport in the last fiscal year, accounting for nearly half of all departures.

• American Airlines came in a distant second with 17,769 departures.
