For our money, summer is the ideal time to seek out air-conditioned relief at the nearest happy hour.

Bonus points if frozen drinks or refreshing fruity flavors are available.

Zoom in: One new option, which opened last month in East Nashville, is the bright and airy Coral Club, partially backed by crowdfunding investors.

The vibe: The seasonal menu at the Coral Club includes specialty palomas, "freezer martinis" and old fashioneds as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

If you go: Coral Club is on the second floor at 604 Gallatin Avenue.

Happy hour specials run from 5-7pm daily. The bar stays open nightly until 1am.
