Nashville's new Music Monday is heavy on the Isbell

In a bit of an upset for a Nashville-based playlist, it took until Week 3 for readers to drop some Jason Isbell suggestions for our Music Monday playlist. Isbell is in the midst of his residency at the Ryman Auditorium.

Shout out to readers Cathy, Carl, Jami, James, Hank and Michael for recommendations this week.

🎺 Since Nate's son is taking up the trumpet, Nate's picks this week include a perfect song from the New Orleans ska band Bad Operation. Maybe one day he will be the proud father of a horn player in an indie ska band.

In honor of "Tommy Boy" being added to Netflix, Nate also included a song from the great "Tommy Boy" concept album by friend and Tennessean music reporter Dave Paulson.

🍷 Adam included "Return To The Moon" by EL VY, a song he heard this weekend while enjoying a fancy double date at Bastion in Wedgewood-Houston. It turns out the sommelier, who was picking records, had great taste in music, too.

And it just so happens that "Tommy Boy" included one of his favorite songs of all time: "Superstar" by the Carpenters.
