Ohio's ties to the 2025 Emmy Awards

This weekend's Emmy Awards may be dominated by stories of fictional resort locales and superhero cities, but a few real-life Ohio natives will make their way to the show as well.

We scoured the nominations for Ohio ties:

🔥 Columbus' favorite mascot Guy Fieri is nominated for outstanding structured reality program for the iconic "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

Fieri made a few Columbus stops recently.

🤸 "Simone Biles Rising" chronicles the story of the legendary Olympic gymnast, and is nominated for outstanding documentary or nonfiction series.

Although she now lives in Texas, Biles was born in Columbus.

❤️ Netflix's "Love Is Blind" is also nominated for outstanding structured reality program.

Host Nick Lachey grew up in the Cincinnati suburbs and went to Miami University.
The show started casting in Columbus last summer.

🪷 "The White Lotus" star Carrie Coon was born and raised in Copley, near Akron, and went to the University of Mount Union.

She's nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a drama.

🎥 And Kathryn Hahn, nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy for "The Studio," grew up in Cleveland Heights.

She got her first acting job on a local children's puppet show on Cleveland's WKYC-TV.
