Netflix's dating show "Love Is Blind" now casting in Columbus

How it works: Fifteen men and 15 women, all from the same metro area, are put into separate "pods" where they can talk to — but not see — their date. The goal is to fall in love and get engaged to be married without ever knowing what the other person looks like.

• Then, the engaged couples meet in person, go on a trip with the other couples, and each duo moves to an apartment in the city for four weeks.

Reality check: After four years and six completed seasons of the show since 2020, only nine of the 30 engaged couples got married and were still together, Variety reported in March.

• And though "Love Is Blind" reportedly pays contestants around $1,000 per week, couples who get married don't receive any prize (other than love).
• The seventh season, set in Washington, D.C., is expected this fall.
