We're in Cleveland. Yet, believe it or not, there are fans of other NFL teams in Northeast Ohio.
- Let's take a look at the biggest non-Browns storylines in football this season:
3️⃣ Three-peat?
The intrigue: The Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes and Cleveland Heights-native Travis Kelce, will look to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
- FanDuel Sportsbook gives the Chiefs the best odds of winning this year's championship, followed by the San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions.
🎙️ New on commentary
The intrigue: Travis' brother and former Eagles star Jason Kelce debuts on pregame commentary for ESPN during Monday Night Football's game between the New York Jets and 49ers.
- Another high-profile new commentator is Tom Brady, who will debut as Fox's color analyst during the Browns-Cowboys game.
🤞 Aaron Rodgers returns
The intrigue: We'll finally see what the Jets look like with Rodgers as their starting QB.
- Rodgers was traded to New York before last season but ruptured his Achilles tendon on the fourth play of the opening game.
🦶 New kickoff rule
The intrigue: The NFL's new "dynamic kickoff" format will be in effect this year to encourage more returns and limit injuries from high-speed collisions.
How it works: The kicker will start on the 35-yard line, while the kickoff team starts on the receiving team's 40-yard line.
- The 20-yard line to the end zone is now the landing zone. If the kick doesn't reach this zone, the ball will be placed at the 40-yard line. If the ball goes into the end zone, it will then be placed on the 30-yard line.
👶 Rookie QBs
The intrigue: Three of the top QBs in this year's draft will begin the season as starters — Caleb Williams with the Chicago Bears, Jayden Daniels with the Washington Commanders and Bo Nix with the Broncos.
- The No. 3 overall pick, Drake Maye, will begin the year on the bench for the Patriots, but is expected to take over the starting job sooner than later.
