Shucking the Seaport at new Island Creek outlet

• It's got oysters grown by Island Creek founder Skip Bennett, a very trendy collection of tinned fish and hand-packed caviar.
• The space at 99 Autumn Lane is open seven days a week: 11am - 10pm Sunday to Wednesday and 11am - 11pm Thursday to Saturday.

The vibe: The place is huge, taking up one of the last few 20,000 square-foot open lots in the Seaport.

• It's a casual affair, with picnic tables around a-frame shacks selling oysters on the half shell, beer, wine and other bevvies.
• Astroturf, string lights, retrofitted shipping containers — you get the picture.

More to the menu: Chef Jeremy Sewall from the nearby Row 34 has an outpost at the new Island Creek spot, offering fancier seafood options like chowder, tempura lobster bao buns, ceviche, shrimp tacos and crab cake sandwiches.

What we ate: A dozen oysters from Duxbury, Saquish and Dennis ($33,) clam dip and chips ($10) and a regular old hotdog ($5.)

• Draft beers from local brewers, domestic cans, assorted wines, sake and canned cocktails are also available.

The verdict: Great space. Good oysters, but at $3.75 a pop, only the moneyed bros of the Seaport can afford a second dozen.
