Daughter of Democratic Whip Katherine Clark arrested at abortion protest

• The case will likely be dismissed once Dowell performs 30 hours of community service, per the Boston Herald.
• The march attracted a large crowd of counter-protesters, some dressed as clowns to mock the mostly Catholic marchers.

Why it matters: This isn't Dowell's first protest-related arrest. 

• She received one year of probation for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and vandalizing a historic monument at a January 2023 protest against police, according to the Herald.

Context: Clark was reelected by acclimation as Minority Whip by her party's caucus Tuesday, as part of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries' (D-N.Y.) win to lead Democrats in during the second Trump term.
