By the numbers: Georgia's peaches are grown in the central part of the state, which each year produces about 2.6 million bushels, according to Georgia Grown, a marketing program of the state Department of Agriculture.
Yes, but: We are the Peach State, but it's not our top crop. According to the 2026 Georgia Ag Impact Report, chickens bred for meat production, beef, eggs and peanuts are the top five commodities in Georgia.
