How it works: A series of sudden bumps out of the gate lets you know what's coming and you begin an ascension so high you wonder if you'll see the Atlanta skyline (no spoilers).

• After climbing 154 feet, you learn the answer, and then plunge into a seemingly unending feeling of weightlessness.

Right as your brain registers that you're falling, the ride scoops, twists and slings you.

• One corkscrew was the closest I've ever felt to doing cartwheels while floating forward in time.

Pro tips: Go on a weekday, as weekend lines have stretched to the main gate, according to park visitors.

• The end of the ride is bumpy and known to put a hurting on riders' thighs. Press them against the restraints to prevent problems, Stephen Gurr, a roller coaster enthusiast from Hall County, told Axios.
• When Axios visited, the middle cars had the shortest waits, while the front and back had the longest.

The big picture: My mouth was wide open the entire first ride with awe and maybe a little fear paralysis (see the above photo). But I realized immediately why people were crossing oceans to experience ArieForce One.

• By my third ride I had both arms in the air and was smiling.
