How to see the FIFA World Cup trophy in Atlanta

Fans of soccer and shiny gold objects will have an opportunity this weekend to see the FIFA World Cup trophy in person.

Driving the news: The Coca Cola-sponsored Trophy Tour will make a stop at The Home Depot Backyard at Mercedes-Benz Stadium this Friday and Saturday from 2-9pm.

Expect to see the coveted trophy and interactive games and experiences (for example, jumping into a pit of foam bricks while trying to block a shot).

Zoom in: The tour is making 75 stops over more than 150 days in the lead up to the World Cup, which starts on June 11.

Reality check: Atlanta's hosting a semifinal game, not the championship match, so we doubt the trophy will make an appearance at Magic City this year.
