The Strokes, Wu-Tang Clan and Gorillaz lead Shaky Knees

Rising bands Geese and Fontaines D.C. will join legends LCD Soundsystem and Pavement and dozens of other acts at Shaky Knees in September.

Why it matters: Now in its 13th year, the weekend festival stretching across multiple stages in Piedmont Park is one of the Southeast's top music events.

This year's line-up is really solid.

Zoom in: The Strokes, Turnstile, Fontaines D.C. and Geese headline a Friday evening bill that includes composer Danny Elfman, singer Alice Phoebe Lou and more.

Twenty-One Pilots, Blood Orange and The Prodigy are just a few bands that play the main stage on Saturday. Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem and Wu-Tang Clan headline Sunday.

Thomas' thought bubble: The lineup might just convince me to break my vow to never again spend a day at a music festival.
