Downtown event and dining complex to add rooftop lounge, sports club

A historic Downtown building on Atlanta's most famous street is being reborn as an entertainment and restaurant complex before the FIFA World Cup.

Driving the news: The hospitality group behind Downtown's Red Phone Booth and Amalfi Cucina & Mercato is adding four new concepts to the circa-1920s Peachtree Street building those establishments call home.

The name: 207 Peachtree.

Here's what to expect in the roughly 45,000-square-foot building:

🎸 American Dive: Live music, vintage signs and barbecue in the building's lower level.

🏌️‍♀️ Peachtree Sporting Club: A 20-foot panoramic TV wall shows sports and seven simulator bays allow roughly 15 guests to tee off, shoot skeet and more.

🍸 Aire Rooftop Lounge: An indoor-outdoor cocktail-focused space that will likely be in high demand during the Dragon Con parade.

🥳 Grand Ballroom: A 10,000-square-foot event space that can hold more than 300 guests.

Fun fact: 207 Peachtree is the former home of Regenstein's, a staple of Downtown Atlanta's department store scene until its closure in 1978.

207 Peachtree marks the first time since the store closed that all levels of the building are in use, according to the RPB Management Group's press release.
