State Farm Arena ranks 5th in top-grossing venues in U.S.

The latest: Billboard's Year In Touring 2025 report lists State Farm Arena as the fifth top-grossing venue in the U.S. and seventh globally among places that have a seating capacity of 15,001 or greater.

How it works: Billboard's report tracks shows that occurred Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30 of this year.

Caveat: Stadiums are excluded from the rankings.

The intrigue: State Farm Arena ranks only behind Madison Square Garden among NBA venues that hosted the most events.

Zoom in: State Farm hosted 94 ticketed events that weren't Hawks games, including Paul McCartney, Lil Baby, Shakira, Dua Lipa, Pearl Jam and Usher concerts.

• It also was the location for UFC Fight Night, the sold-out Atlanta Dream home opener against the Indiana Fever and several college basketball games.

What they're saying: State Farm Arena said in a news release Tuesday that the ranking is the third consecutive year it's been globally ranked in the top 10.

• Trey Feazell, executive vice president of arena programming, said the recognition by Billboard is "an incredible" accomplishment for the venue.

What's next: State Farm Arena will close out 2025 with 96.1 The Beat's Jingle Ball featuring Jermaine Dupri, Lil' Jon, Mariah The Scientist and others on Thursday; the CBS Sports Classic on Saturday; and hip-hop artist Rod Wave (Dec. 28-29).

• The Hawks' remaining 2025 home games include the Spurs (Dec. 19), Bulls (Dec. 21 and Dec. 23), Heat (Dec. 26), Knicks (Dec. 27) and Timberwolves (Dec. 31).
