Atlanta leather goods brand plans hybrid shop and maker space for South Downtown

Zoom in: Customers will see leather cut, stitched and finished on site, KMM's Marcus Orfield told Axios. The company also plans to offer studio space to Atlanta makers to create high-quality, local goods.

What they're saying: "You can say 'Made in America,' but a lot of times people doubt the provenance of it," Orfield said.

The intrigue: The Big Tote, an uber-oversized leather tote the team unveiled to the world on April Fools' Day this year, will be on display at the new space.

What's next: Demo work is underway. Orfield and founder Kyle Martin expect to open the doors in 2026.

State of play: The company launched in 2011 and called Ponce City Market's Citizen Supply home before heading to a 500-square-foot space in The Met.
