Two weekends ago, I stopped by Monday Night Brewing's The Grove for their grand opening celebration. That place was packed!
- I knew I wouldn't be able to fully take in the experience of a new space with too many people around, so Hannah and I headed over last Tuesday.
The latest: The Grove is located down a hill beside Monday Night's original taproom at 670 Trabert Avenue in West Midtown.
- It features a 7,400-square-foot indoor taproom that serves beer and cocktails.
- The outdoor space includes a patio furnished with picnic tables and high-top square tables. There are also more than a dozen orange Adirondack chairs spaced around fire pits.
- A 20-foot outdoor LED television allows guests to kick back and watch sports. (On Tuesday, we were treated to U.S. Open tennis matches).

Zoom in: The Grove is situated along a new segment of the Atlanta Beltline's Northwest Trail.
The vibe: Spacious brewery meets coffee shop meets co-working space.
- Several customers (myself included) were hard at work on their laptops indoors and outdoors.
- The indoor space has one long table for communal seating and a couple of high-top tables and normal-sized tables and chairs you would typically see at a coffee shop, along with couches and chairs if you prefer to relax.

What to try: Once I wrapped up work, I ordered the peppadew pizza and the Oktoberfest beer, a German-style Marzen.
- While the pizza had six slices, they were thin enough that I was able to eat the entire thing comfortably (or maybe I was just hungry because I skipped lunch).
- The pizza was tasty, but I'm not a pizza snob, so my hot take may not live up to your standards.
- Next time I'll be a bit more adventurous and try a cocktail.
The bottom line: 10 out of 10; would recommend. The dog-friendly patio is a bonus.
Stop by: The Grove's taproom is open 8am to 10pm Monday-Thursday, 8am to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 9pm Sunday.
- Kitchen hours are noon to 9pm Monday-Thursday, noon to 11pm Friday and Saturday, and noon to 8pm Sunday.
