Here are the candidates running for Atlanta Board of Education

Driving the news: Your Atlanta school board will look a little different when voters cast ballots this year, as well as when the new members are sworn into office.

Who's running:

District 2: Incumbent Aretta Baldon did not qualify to seek re-election, and candidates Stephen Owens, Tony Mitchell and Marlissa Crawford are running for the seat.

District 4: Incumbent Jennifer McDonald is seeking another term, and she faces opposition from Sanjay Mendonca.

District 6: Incumbent Tolton Pace will face four challengers: Patreece Hutcherson, Jonathan Leon, Michael Hopkins and Tyrese Miller.

District 8: Cynthia Briscoe Brown is not running for a fourth term for the at-large seat, so three challengers are vying to replace the long-time school board member: Aisha Stith, Kaycee Brock and Royce Mann.
